To Convert Videos using VLC
1: Launch VLC media player
2: click on Media –> Convert / Save.
3: In the dialogue box, under the file tab, Click Add and locate the file you want to convert and click Open. The file is now added in the file selection box.
4: The other option below gives you the option to embed a subtitle to the converted video that’s already synchronized.
5: Click on the Convert/Save button
6: In the Convert dialogue box, Browse to the destination folder you want to save the file.
7: Give it your desired filename
8: Select the Profile you want to convert to and click on the start button.
(You can also edit, delete or create new profiles using the three buttons located next to the select profile dropdown list. Using the edit button, you can adjust the various settings like audio and video codecs to get your desired conversion profile)
